International Master Class in Choral Conducting with Josep Vila i Casañas at Malmö Academy of Music, Sweden, 9-15 Augusti 2021.
Work with advanced repertoire together with international choral conductor Josep Vila. Develop and increase your level of conducting and your repertoire knowledge. This Master Class will be held in English.
Josep Vila i Casañas is a conductor, composer and pedagogue with a speciality in a cappella repertoire. He concucts the Lieder Camera Chamber Choir and has served as the resident conductor of the Orfeo Catala Choral Society, the Cor de Cambra of the Palau de la Musica Catalana, the Radiotelevision Espanola Choir and the World Youth Choir.

To the application for Course C, Master Class, you must attach a brief CV and a digital link to a film that shows when you conduct a choir. The film should be 3 -6 minutes long, show your direction from the front or from the side and maintain good sound quality. Selection for Course C is mainly based on the conducting skills shown in the film.

The courses are located at the Musical Academy in Malmö. Address: Ystadvägen 25, Malmö.
Lunches and dinners are included in the fee. Note in your application if you have food allergies.

Now, at the time of registration opening, the spread of the corona virus is still at a high level. We are following the development and will of course follow the given restrictions/recommendations from the authorities. Await confirmation that the courses will take place before making travel arrangements. If we are forced to cancel, you will be notified in the beginning of June and you will not be charged any registration fee.
