Breastfeeding Course for Expectant Parents – with a focus on breastfeeding, attachment and parenting in the early days

As a partner, you play an important role! Your involvement and support can make a big difference for successful breastfeeding. The course is also open to professionals who support breastfeeding in their work. 

Content

Amningshjälpen provides basic knowledge about how to breastfeed and how to prevent breastfeeding problems. You will gain useful information and practical tips on how to get off to a good start with breastfeeding. We also cover, among other things, the partner’s role in breastfeeding, breastfeeding in different cultures, how to carry and breastfeed using a baby wrap or carrier, and opportunities for participants to reflect on their expectations and previous experiences related to breastfeeding.

• May 7 – 17:30–19:45 (Thursday)
• May 14 – 17:30–19:45 (Thursday)
• May 21 – 17:30–19:45 (Thursday)
• May 28 – 17:30–19:45 (Thursday)

Cost

The course is free of charge. In case of unexcused absence from more than ¼ of the course or late cancellation (later than two weeks before the course starts), a fee of 150 SEK will be charged.

Cancellation policy: 

In case of unexcused** absence from more than ¼ of the course or late cancellation (later than 2 weeks before the course start), a fee of 150 SEK will be charged. Course material that has been sent to participants must be returned. If it is not returned or is returned in damaged condition, an additional fee of 150 SEK will be charged. 

**Valid absence: illness or premature birth.

Online Course

The course takes place online. To participate, you need a computer with an internet connection. Further instructions will be sent before the course begins.

Other Information

Are there two of you attending? Register the pregnant person first, then register the partner at the first course session.
